I am getting this error Garmin Mobile XT misaligned at Program address 0x03f93e04 in background thread NULL (Main initinstance) when trying to start my GPS.

Answer: 

Follow these steps:

Delete all the messages from the phone
Turn off the phone
Leave the phone off for a few minutes
Turn the phone on again
Launch the application
