[The phone mentioned below is currently known as the Samsung I8000 in South Africa. - Ed]
I am due for an Upgrade in a few months and my new phone will be the Samsung I8000 Omnia II, My current phone is the i900 Omnia. The Samsung I8000 Omnia II has a few new features which I would love - OLED and bigger size screen. I enjoy touch screen phone so I will never or think that I will ever use a phone with buttons again.
When will Samsung South Africa have Samsung I8000 Omnia available?
I am keen to get this one when my upgrade is due, and it is only in a few months.
I did research on the net and it look to be an awesome update on the i900 Omnia can't wait for this one to come to SA.

Submitted by andre67@telkomsa.net (not verified) on Tue, 2010-02-09 22:16.For me is not about the name, it is about Functionality for me, features "bell and Whistle" for me............all and the Kitchen zinc.......my phone even make Coffee..well nor really however I am sure you get my point........People say I just need a phone to make calls.........they really lie if they could they have all the "bell and Whistle". With regards to apps well no Nokia or other come close, show me which phone has a business card scanner?........for one?
then read PDF docs MS office docs And Oh! Garmin maps (GPS) which I love to bits....

I8000 or Jet?
Submitted by palesa on Sun, 2010-02-14 22:57.Nope, it's the I8000. It looks a lot like the Jet but it has slight hardware differences like the screen size: the Jet's is 3.3" while the I8000s is a large 3.7"

They look like the same phone, except the I8000 has a bigger screen 3.7"
