Touch screen phones will be the standard very soon

I want to make a prediction. I can see that phones with bottoms would NOT last very long. Touch screen is here and will be the standard very soon.

I look at Samsung’s range and I see that more and more of their handsets are becoming touch screen phones. For me a hardware keyboard takes up space on the phone so for me a big screen is better than a smaller screen with a hardware keyboard. There are some that say that the reason they do not prefer a touch screen is because the keyboard is too small on a touch screen. Look at some of these phones out there, the keys are small then the touch screen. This argument has no basis. I use my finger on my i900 to type on the touch screen keyboard, without using the stylus. I do not have small fingers either.

My experience with my i900 Sync and how to resolve issues

This has been my experience with my i900 Sync and how to resolve issues.

I have had my fair share of issues with the sync on my I900 Omnia, sync with stop working, or just lost connection for no reason all at all. I just recently came across a new driver which I actually download for my wife’s F480 to install new games and this editor did not work correctly so this new driver as mentioned on a blog would do the trick. I installed and guess what now my sync on my i900 Omnia works without losing the sync or any of the issues I had with the sync.

My new upgrade will be the Samsung I8000, pt. 2

Samsung I8000 - music player

I have mentioned here on this blog which will be my new upgrade phone, having done some extensive research their is just some question which only the local company (Samsung RSA) would be able to answer for me.

1) Some countries the I8000 is shipped with Win 6.5 and others with Win 6.1 which allow for an Win 6.5 upgrade for free. This is all good and well, I know what a Schlep it is each time to do a firmware update data has to backed up so Win 6.5 will have to be a firmware update, so I would prefer that Win 6.5 be on board already.

My new upgrade will be the Samsung I8000

Samsung I8000 - task switcher

[The phone mentioned below is currently known as the Samsung I8000 in South Africa. - Ed]

I am due for an Upgrade in a few months and my new phone will be the Samsung I8000 Omnia II, My current phone is the i900 Omnia. The Samsung I8000 Omnia II has a few new features which I would love - OLED and bigger size screen. I enjoy touch screen phone so I will never or think that I will ever use a phone with buttons again.

When will Samsung South Africa have Samsung I8000 Omnia available?

I am keen to get this one when my upgrade is due, and it is only in a few months.

I did research on the net and it look to be an awesome update on the i900 Omnia can't wait for this one to come to SA.

Stuff about F480 I need to know?

1) I have just recently got my wife a F480 a very nice little phone, however there are a few issues which I would love to get Clarification on. She wanted to use a pic send via MMS to save as a contact pic in phone book, we could not find anyway of doing this. You could move it around however not save to phone card or even phone book why is this?

2) wanted to upload via USB games to the F480 and this too showed no way to do this, I have looked on the net and can't find anyway to do this except to hack the phone why is this such an issue to do simply task on the phone ?

Do we really know how much a part our lives our mobiles play?

Have many of us stop and think how much a part of our lives our mobile phones play?
They are more than just for making a phone call nowadays. I have a smart phone which is really a pocket PC.

  1. When we do internet banking our mobile is used for security code to access a transaction
  2. With GPS onboard I have navigation maps to get me to whatever location I need to go to
  3. Office suite can be viewed on my phone, PDF files, etc.
  4. E-mail sending directly from my mobile without the need of a PC
  5. Playing of videos
  6. Watching TV show on the mobile
  7. Music playing... I use mine as an MP3 player
  8. Banking from your mobile... what next?

A simple way to sync Omnia to PC using Bluetooth?

I spent countless hours and I eventually figured it out. I am running Vista and using Windows Mobile Device Centre which is different to Active Sync and Windows XP. This is all very confusing to start with. If you using Vista then follow the instructions below.

how to use the camera features on the i900 Omnia?

I have some of the features down however there are other which I would love know how they function in side out…….it is an awesome camera I would just love to know what every feature does and how they function at this point it is a thumb suck.
The are awesome feature on the i900 Omina, however I would love to have a manual explaining these features.....The manual include do not as well as the downloaded manual do not either........how would one get a proper manual on this?

I did a google search this do not even turn up anything

How to add widgets to the Omnia i900, finally!

3rd - Then, search Google for the .wgt files you want.. (you can use .zip files too you just have to change the extension to .wgt) There are a bunch on http://widgets.opera.com/ but they aren't that sweet.. you could probably find the ones you want if you search the net for a bit..

4th - Drag the .wgt file into the widget sidebar on the today screen .. where all your widgets are (touch player, FM radio, clock, help... all that..)

5th - Widget should install... and work! lol..

Add by demand: Step 1 & two............Go to link download from web site.....copy to i900 card.....click on file on the i900 file will install correctly. This is why I did not include 1 & two, as this is obvious ?
