Mobile Gmail

Google_Mail_Beta_logo.png

A new revolution has struck the world. it is the form of new communication to long distance partners and or business people.

A newer version of Google's Gmail, mobile application has been released and it is a breath of fresh air from the older version.

This one is more user-friendly and most of all saves you a lot on GPRS connection fees.

The previous version restricted you from doing some things like deleting spam mails but now this mobile version can do everything its computer counterpart can do!

It is a great way to view emails on the go.

G1

I think the problem with the G1 is exactly what you have just written! There are so many easy apps you can install, like the Gmail application, but they override the purpose of a Smartphone! All it is a glorified advertisement for Google. The more I compare mobile phone offers and read reviews, the more I think that a G1 is not for me.

The Gmail app

I was using the Nokia 3220 phone I downloaded the Gmail and it worked. But on my E250 the app doesn't work why help?

Gmail, is tailor made from

Gmail, is tailor made for some cellphones. It may be that the application is not compatible as of yet with your Samsung E250.

But don't worry, I'm pretty sure that this will be improved.

Gmail

That could also be the case, because like most of the time when i download games to my phone they don't play.

Greetings Kay, Unfortunately

Greetings Kay,

Unfortunately the Samsung E250 does not have the necessary certificates on the phone to run the Gmail application and this is why you are experiencing this problem.

There is no way you are able to add these certificates manually either.

I I love Gmail on my phone

I personally love Gmail on my phone, it's really great especially when you only have access to a PC during working hours. And nobody calls anymore, they send emails. It's cheaper and loads more fun, and my J700 gives me no problems with access to this app. I love it!

You have to keep in mind

You have to keep in mind that some cellphones (or some smartphones) do not allow for the e-mail do be sent to the mobile (it's not the mobile's fault, but the e-mail service is not yet configured for e-mails to be sent to the handset). As the e-mail services improve over time the applications will become obsolete. And it also serves a purpose for people who do not have smartphones.

How do I access Google chat on Gmail on my Omnia?

I have downloaded the Gmail app for my Omnia - that's all great, but my favourite feature Gmail Instant Chat... How do I access this on my Omnia? Do I need to download another app? I have checked which downloadable apps Gmail offers, but still don't see Gmail Chat?
Can anyone help?
