Samsung INNOV8 wins Camera Phone award!

The Samsung i8510, INNOV8 won Best Camera Phone at the Mobile Choice Awards in the UK.

The INNOV8 is a 8MP camera phone with features that include a 2.8” 16M colour LCD screen, a range of video player formats (DivX, WMV, Real Player and MPEG4), HSDPA high-speed Internet and WiFi connection, GPS and Embedded 3D Games.

Samsung also won the Manufacturer of the Year title and the Samsung F400 scooped up Best Music Phone. The awards are chosen by the readers of Mobile Choice and a panel of industry experts.

Predecessor of the Pixon?

Hi Daniel, is this the predecessor of the Pixon? This has an 8MB camera like the Pixon but has a smaller display.

pixon vs innov8...

which is better? any opinions? is the camera on the pixon really any better than on the innov8? innov8 seems to be more upmarket...wi-fi etc and better os...also more expensive...but which is better???? please reply if anyone knows!!!

Pixon vs Innov8

I've used both for a short while and I must say that although I liked both, I loved the Innov8 more.

Both have incredible 8MP cameras, have a solid build, fantastic features, etc...

I think it also depends on how you use your phone. Do you like touch screens or prefer a traditional keypad? I personally like the Symbian OS on the Innov8 as it allows one to download additional apps to add functionality, not to even mention the tons of themes available online.

The Innov8 is a bit on the heavy side - but nothing hectic - while the Pixon is slim and light. Wi-fi is something I use quite often (apparently not everyone does) so the Innov8 won my favour in this respect.

If I were you I'd walk into a store and try them out at least. You should also do a Google search for "Innov8 vs Pixon". Let us know what you decide and why. Have fun shopping!
