mobile phone
We've always viewed the mobile phone as a device used for work and entertainment. However, there's much more to this device. Do you know that the cellphone has played a vital role in the saving of peoples lives? The healthcare fraternity has benefited greatly from the mobile phone.
A unique system which uses a mobile phone to transmit a person's vital signs, including the complex ECG heart signal, to a hospital or clinic anywhere in the world has been developed at Loughborough University a few years ago. Now, doctors are going to use the mobile phone to send patients' medical information to each other using the mobile phone. Also, there is something called e-prescribing. It works in the same way as a normal prescription but it's more convenient and it's easier.
Black is beautiful.
As this is the first Samsung mobile phone I've had the first thing I did was read the user manual, really I did. Instructions were easy to follow.
Was expecting to have to go thru a lengthy setup process to get the Edge/GPRS, MMS and SMS functionality to work with my sim card but to my surprise Cell C, Virgin Mobile, MTN and Vodacom settings were already on the phone.
First things first, downloading MXit onto my phone. Popped open the Samsung D900's browser at http://mxit.co.za/wap followed the instructions and MXit was downloaded and installed onto the Samsung D900 in seconds.
The biggest mistake I made was to show my Father the D900. It's been a week since he's had a 'look' and I still haven't gotten it back from him. Will have more info about my first ever Samsung experience once I've gotten the phone back from him.
