backup
The only thing I think Samsung should do, or implement is the ability to port user data to the next handset. How nice would it be if you upgrade to a new handset and one can install the old phone's user data to the new phone?
Not all data is backed up by the software that comes with the phone and it is for the most part restricted. They have done this on the Monte where you could backup your sms. Why not take it beyond this?
Even if all is backed up by the software, one can not restore user data using the same software so it is not useful.
My wife has upgraded to a Samsung S5620 Monte. One very awesome feature that it has, which I also have on my i8000, is the ability to save and export SMS to, say, your memory card for storage.
I find this to be a very useful as we all want or need to do this at some point.
It will be nice if they could take this beyond just sms's.
The humble cellphone has evolved into so much more than a phone. It has become a part of our lives, it has also become the convenient repository of all our jealously guarded contacts and multi-media. What will you do if your phone was to get lost, or even if it got stolen!? :-O! That sickening panic feeling will kick in no time. Some intelligent people from Zyb.com have what must be the finest back-up systems for your phone. It uploads all your content "over the air" to their secure database, where only you can access it when required. It does some smart things like cross referencing your contacts with other members. But with the high data costs, you'll want something a bit more conventional (imagine the cost of uploading all the data on from your Omnia HD or Innov8!).
